Call for papers and posters

You are kindly invited to submit an abstract for presentation at the Sixth Meeting of the European Society for Chlamydia Research 2008 (ESCR). Only on-line submission is possible. Fax or paper copies will be rejected.

Abstracts must be submitted no later than 15 February, 2008.

Please read the following guidelines carefully before submitting your abstract. A copy of the submitted abstract will be sent immediately to your e-mail. All abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee, and notification will be given by 15 March, 2008.

GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS

  1. Abstract must be written and presented in clear and concise English.
  2. Title should contain no more than 150 characters including space (about 20 words).
  3. The abstract text should contain no more than 4000 characters (approx. 500 words) all inclusive (reference list, figures and tables) made in a word document and MUST be sent separately or uploaded here.
  4. Tables and figures – if any - should be made in black and white (NOT in colour!!). Included in the 4000 characters. 1 figure is appr. = 1000 characters.
  5. Single space all text. Do not leave blank lines. Abbreviations, in brackets after the first full use of the word, should be used for common terms only. Write numbers as numerals rather than words.
  6. There should be no separate subdivisions. The abstract should be divided into objectives, methods, results, conclusions, references with numbers in brackets in the text. The reference list MUST be included in the 4000 characters.
  7. All bacteria names MUST be written in italic and the abstract text sent in a separate word document.
  8. There will be no proofreading.
  9. Abstracts will be reviewed before acceptance.
  10. Please note that by submitting your abstract to this Meeting, you agree to transfer ownership of copyright for the abstract and its contents to Sixth Meeting of the European Society for Chlamydia Research 2008 in order to enable publication in the abstract book and / or on the web www.chlamydia.au.dk
